|Recommended: YesLove the apartment building. A ton of charm and character. — Its been great so far The building itself is lovely with lots of original features to give it a lot of character. The area is also great, with lots of shops and restaurants close by.
|Recommended: YesLove the Waldorf. — I love living at the Waldorf Location is great and I love the vintage aspects of the building. The property manager, Lori, is kind, reliable and efficient, making for a welcoming environment.
|Recommended: YesI love this place — I am enjoying my time at the Waldorf. Laurie is great and always helpful.
|Recommended: YesWorks For Me — I really can't complain--living at the Waldorf has been a fine experience for me, overall. There was a short time frame where the tenants kinda sucked, but they eventually moved out. Since Laurie became the Manager here, things have been exponentially better Laurie has been the best Apartment Manager that I've had. She actively maintains the property, inside and out, and is always approachable and very sweet. The rent is super reasonable and the location is ideal for my lifestyle. The maintenance crew is always super nice, but sometimes I have to go out of my way to to make sure they show up, and when they do, I've had to clean up afterward. Not a huge deal, but still...anyhow, the building is SUPER old ahem, charming' , but for a Portland native, that's nothing new. As of right now, my only disappointment is with the lack of upgrades to the units, but I get it. Replacing the steam heaters is probably on the list, but the expense is more than likely putting it at the bottom.
The neighborhood definitely keeps things interesting, but no living situation is going to be absolutely perfect. And since I like to keep things weird, the Waldorf works for me
